Stories, History & Heritage
Fresh perspectives on Sicilian history, culture, and identity from the author and the greater Sicilian Odyssey community.
INTRODUCTION
Here is where we encourage our Members to share their ideas and passions for all things Sicilian with the larger community. Most people will have one or more favorite elements of our rich, diverse Sicilian culture, which holds a particular interest to them. My passion happens to be Sicilian history, and the stories behind the magnificent cultural monuments and treasures left behind by the past ruling dynasties of Sicily.
No matter what your specific Sicilian passion may be: art, literature, poetry, music, cuisine, history, archeology, theology, travel, language, customs and superstitions, folktales, immigrant stories, cinema and television… we want to hear from you.
Please share your unique knowledge and great passions with the greater Sicilian community in the form of an essay or blog post here on this Sicilian Odyssey site. All work submitted to the Sicilian Odyssey website will remain the sole property of the submitting author.
I have shared several essays of my own on various subjects in an effort to get the ball rolling and encourage wider participation from the many talented and creative minds within our greater Sicilian community. We look forward to hearing from you !
